Fall 2024

Dear Bruins,

Welcome (back) Bruins! It’s Fall Quarter and the beginning of a new year for both our new and returning Bruins.  We hope you had a terrific summer and are excited to be here!

UCLA offers a variety of opportunities and experiences that can help you to explore your passions, discover your strengths, and grow as individuals and leaders, enabling you to craft a narrative of who you are that will make you stand out in future interviews and applications.  So we encourage you to be thoughtful and intentional about the activities that you engage in to make the most of your time at UCLA.

We know that there have been challenging times in the past and that there will be challenging times in the future.  And things very often don’t happen in the way that we expect or hope or want.  So it’s important to be sure you have a network of people who can support you – and whom you can also support – when things happen.  These people might be friends, family, classmates, colleagues, supervisors, spiritual leaders, and more.  And don’t forget academic advisors, who are here to listen, provide information, and connect you to resources so that you can make informed decisions about your academic career, in addition to helping you to engage intentionally to maximize your time and professional growth.

The Center for Academic Advising in the College is committed to supporting you and your personal, professional, and intellectual growth and development.  You can connect with us in a variety of ways:

  • Visit us online at REACH for quick questions or to schedule appointments with our academic advisors;
  • Send us a message via Message Center for non-urgent questions and to make appointments;
  • Follow us on Facebook and Instagram ; or
  • Check out our website for current information.

We are inspired by your resilience and commitment to your education.  Be kind and graceful to yourself and to others, and as Bruins, we will persevere and thrive.

Bruins Together,
