Fall 2025
Welcome (Back) Bruins!
It’s Fall Quarter, and with it comes the start of a new academic year. Whether you’re joining us for the first time or returning to campus, we hope you had a rejuvenating summer and are excited to be here!
UCLA offers a wide range of opportunities to help you explore your passions, discover your strengths, and grow as individuals and leaders. These experiences can shape your personal narrative and help you stand out in future interviews and applications. We encourage you to be thoughtful and intentional about how you engage—make the most of your time here.
We recognize that these are challenging times, both on campus and beyond. Shrinking resources have required us to make adjustments, and as a result, some processes may take longer and it may require more effort to connect with an advisor. We understand how frustrating and difficult this can be—and we feel it too.
To help make your advising experience as smooth and productive as possible, we encourage you to explore our website. It contains helpful information that may answer your questions or prepare you for speaking with an advisor. Being informed ahead of time can often save time and lead to more meaningful conversations.
We also encourage you to be proactive. Administrative processing times may be longer than usual, so starting early and staying ahead can help avoid delays and unnecessary stress.
Please continue to be patient and kind to the people working to support you, as these are difficult times for us as well.
Things don’t always go as planned, and that’s why it’s important to build a strong support network—people you can lean on and support in return. Friends, family, classmates, colleagues, supervisors, spiritual leaders, and yes, academic advisors. We’re here to listen, provide guidance, and connect you with resources so you can make informed decisions and engage meaningfully in your academic and professional journey.
The Center for Academic Advising in the College is committed to supporting your personal, professional, and intellectual growth. You can connect with us in several ways:
- Visit us online at REACH for quick questions or to schedule appointments
- Send a message via Message Center for non-urgent questions and appointment requests
- Follow us on Facebook and Instagram
- Check out our website for the latest updates and information
We are continually inspired by your resilience and dedication to your education. Be kind and graceful to yourself and others—and as Bruins, we will persevere and thrive.
