ACADEMIC RESIDENCY

SENIOR RESIDENCE

In order to be in compliance with the UCLA College residency requirement you must earn 35 of your final 45 units in residence at UCLA.

This requirement is referred to as the “Senior Residency” requirement because it is during your senior year that you will accumulate the last 45 units you need to graduate–only 10 of which may be taken outside of the UCLA College and transferred back.

MAJOR RESIDENCE

A minimum of 24 upper division units must be completed in the major while in residence in the College.
