ACE Worshop: Preventing and Managing Organizational Burnout: Structural Approaches to Support Advising Communities
What do we do when we have prioritized our wellness, taken breaks after difficult interactions, and balanced our personal and professional lives yet still feel overwhelmed? While burnout is often addressed at the individual level, we overlook the structural systems that promote and lead to advisor burnout. In this workshop, we will explore topics within our organizations that can lead to collective burnout and propose strategies to foster advisor persistence and retention. By the end of this workshop, we hope advisors feel empowered to begin discussions and advocate for effective solutions within their organizations.
