CONCURRENT ENROLLMENT

Concurrent enrollment simply means attending UCLA regular session (Fall, Winter, or Spring) and another college (community colleges, UCLA Extension, or a four-year institution) at the same time. If you concurrently enroll in another institution without prior approval from the College, you will receive no credit toward your degree for non-UCLA work.

Exceptions: To request an exception to the Concurrent Enrollment regulation, you must submit a College Student Petition to your UCLA College advising unit. Be aware that these petitions are rarely approved.

Concurrent Enrollment and Summer Sessions

A student enrolled in UCLA Summer Sessions is allowed to transfer credit to UCLA for work done at another institution at the same time providing this work does not overlap with either the regular Spring or Fall quarters.
